WODLANDFEST

In April 2025, Malaga will become the epicentre of the CrossFit world with WodlandFest, one of the most exciting and decisive events on the sporting calendar. This sporting festival will host an in-person European qualifier for the CrossFit Games, where elite individual athletes will fight for their place at the pinnacle of the sport.

But WodlandFest is not just for the world’s best. More than 2,500 athletes from all categories will have the opportunity to compete in teams of four (three men and one woman), sharing the arena with the biggest names in Europe. This event brings together competition, community and adrenaline in an environment designed to inspire greatness.

Whether you’re looking to take on an epic challenge or simply want to experience the thrill of competing in the very arena where dreams are forged, WodlandFest promises to be an unforgettable experience and a milestone in CrossFit history.

RX TEAM

Athletic capacity: Very High
Required skills: Ability to perform all standard CrossFit movements and be prepared to face the unknown.
Reference: You perform all the Open CrossFit workouts in RX and/or in previous years were a Quarterfinals-level athlete. If you are part of a team aspiring to reach the CrossFit Games Semifinals in individual or team categories, the Elite Teams division is more suitable for you.

 

MASTER TEAMS

Athletic capacity: Very High
Required skills: Ability to perform all standard CrossFit movements and be prepared to face the unknown.
Reference: Same as ADVANCE Teams
Note: All athletes must be 35 years or older at the start of the event.
MASTER + 31 INDI

Athletic capacity: Very High
Required skills: Ability to perform all standard CrossFit movements and be prepared to face the unknown.
Reference: Same as ADVANCE Teams
Note: All athletes must be 35 years or older at the start of the event.
ADVANCED TEAMS

Athletic capacity: High
Required skills: Ability to perform all standard CrossFit movements.
Reference: You perform all Open CrossFit workouts in RX fluidly. If several athletes on your team have Quarterfinals-level experience in the CrossFit Games, the RX division is more suitable for you.
INTERMEDIATE TEAMS

Athletic capacity: Medium-high
Required skills: Ability to perform most standard CrossFit movements.
Reference: You perform almost all Open CrossFit workouts in RX. If any of the athletes on your team have a Quarterfinals-level skill, the Advanced division is more suitable for you.
SCALED TEAMS

Athletic capacity: Medium
Required skills: Ability to perform most standard CrossFit movements. Some of the more technically demanding movements will not be required in this category, or in some cases, only some athletes will need to be able to perform them. (See the table of weights and movements).
Reference: You perform most Open CrossFit workouts in Scaled, and some of them (the fewer ones) in RX.
MASTER SCALED TEAMS

Athletic capacity: Medium
Required skills: Ability to perform most standard CrossFit movements. Some of the more technically demanding movements will not be required in this category, or in some cases, only some athletes will need to be able to perform them. (See the table of weights and movements).
Reference: Same as Scaled Teams
Note: All athletes must be 35 years or older at the start of the event.
BEGINNER TEAM

Athletic capacity: Open to everyone.
Required skills: No complex technical movements or heavy loads will be required. (See the table of weights and movements).
Reference: A great option for teams that have never competed or simply want to spend a great weekend together as a team.
Notes: This category has a lower volume of load, so they will only compete on Saturday and Sunday.
